Sarah Cusson- Gyor, Hungary

Hungary – Oct ’10 kids newsletter pdf 2

Hello all!

I pray that you are doing well, and possibly enjoying a bit of fall weather.  Attached you will find the latest news from Gyor, Hungary in my newsletter.  Thank you all for your love and support.

I am definitely continuing to proclaim Jesus and build closer relationships with my students and colleagues.  Just this afternoon, I stood talking for about 40 minutes to two of my 12th grade students.  We talked about what they want to do next year and some funny things that have happened in the last couple weeks.  One of the two wants to be a pastor and the other isn’t sure what she will do; we got to talk a little about theology and Christian songs and our lives.  Praise the Lord for this and other opportunities like it!

Love and joy always in Jesus,

Sarah Cusson

    Sarah Cusson – December Update
    Hello all!
I hope that you all had a very blessed and enjoyable Christmas celebration! My Christmas was spent relaxing and celebrating the birth of Jesus with friends and family. Attached you will find both my December newsletter and also the kids December newsletter. Love and joy to you always in Jesus,

    Sarah

This last month, I’m sure all of you celebrated Christmas by probably going to church and opening presents with your family. In Hungary, Christmas is a very important family celebration, and it even lasts two days! On Christmas Eve day, the fathers and mothers decorate the Christmas tree, but the children aren’t allowed to see the tree until that night. Most families eat a huge meal (including things like fish soup, cabbage stuffed with meat, and different desserts), attend church, and then gather around the tree and open presents. On Christmas Day and the second day of Christmas (December 26th), families go to their relatives’ houses to spend time together, eat together, and wish them a Merry Christmas!
